As we move into the Yellow tier, Gurus of Dance will offer Indoor (limited capacity) and Zoom classes.
We are committed to offering dance education to our students in a variety of ways to meet the current health and safety criteria.
Our staff has been diligently working to implement health procedures and guidelines based on the State of California for Health and Fitness (under which dance is classified) to be able to offer the safest environment for all. According to the Santa Clara County, we are in compliance with all the current protocol for dance studios.
We are closely monitoring policy changes and public health organizations and will continue to make changes, as necessary. The plan below, coupled with personal responsibility, presents our best efforts to keep our dancers, families, and staff safe.
(Updated As of 5/18/2021)
Indoor Class Limit (25)
Per the State of California Guidelines, our class size limits will be set by allowing for at least 6 feet of distance between students at all times.
Each student will have an assigned spot on the floor which will help to give dancers the optimal amount of space to continue practicing social distancing.
Any student, faculty, staff or parent that has flu-like symptoms, any symptoms of COVID-19 within the past 10 days, or has had any close contact with someone who is suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19 in the past 14 days, we ask that you please not attend class or enter the studio.
Faculty and staff will receive temperature checks every day.
All faculty, staff and dancers are required to wear a face covering or mask when entering and exiting the studio. When actively dancing, students and teachers are required to leave masks on.
Hand sanitizer stations are at the studio entrance and inside each studio. You will be required to cleanse your hands upon arrival.
All faculty, staff and dancers should wash their hands regularly. The CDC recommends this as one of the best practices to avoid transmission of the virus.
Following the CDC Guidance for Cleaning and Disinfecting, each studio will be cleaned and dance equipment and props will be disinfected between each use.
Staff will clean and disinfect all frequently touched surfaces (e.g., door handles) common areas (e.g., restroom rooms, waiting rooms), at a minimum every 2 hours while the facility is open and in operation.
To minimize usage, we encourage dancers to use the restroom prior to class at home.
We will have allow the use of restroom in case of emergency only!
We will continue to offer online dance classes in addition to the more limited in-person classes to accommodate the demand for remote instruction. Please see our schedule for details or contact us for more information.
You will receive a zoom link to your class upon registration.
